SmartJacks with supplemental beans are a great permanent solution for sagging floor joists in a crawl space. Floor joists can sag over time for a variety of reasons including moisture, span is too long or significant additional weight has been added. A supplemental beam supported by SmartJacks solves this problem and takes bounce out of the floors.
An internet search for a crawl space repair specialist led a Leland, NC homeowner to call our office. A free crawl space repair assessment was scheduled shortly thereafter with inspector Jeremie G. Upon inspection of the space, it was discovered the wooden support beams in the crawl space were starting to rot leading to sagging floors in the living space above.
In order to solve the problem permanently, Jeremie decided to install SmartJack Support Posts throughout the crawl space. With SmartJack crawl space support posts, damaged crawl spaces can be levelled and stabilized effectively and efficiently. The SmartJack System provides a permanent solution, unlike concrete blocks that sink further into the ground.
Our team thoroughly inspected a crawl space in Ash, NC, and determined moisture had caused a lot of damage. Insualtion was falling from the ceiling, the floor and walls were damp, mold was growing, and the wood floor joists were rotting. Our crew encapsulated the crawl space with our CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System and used SmartJack Support Posts to ensure it was completely level and stable. We replaced the old insulation with energy-efficient SilverGlo insulation and sealed all vents and openings to the outside. We also installed a dehumidifier to control the humidity in the crawl space.
Our office was contacted by a homeowner in Leland, NC who noticed cracks on the exterior of their home and separation at the baseboards. After a thorough assessment, it was determined that the home fell victim to a foundation settlement issue. It would need a permanent solution to stabilize and secure the home. To do this, our team installed our Foundation Push Pier System. This system is a permanent solution that uses steel piers to stabilize the foundation and prevent any further movement. The piers are driven deep into the ground until they reach the bedrock, providing a strong and secure foundation for the home.

This Supply, NC homeowner noticed cracked on the outside of their home as well as on the interior walls. They contacted our office to schedule a free estimate for the repairs. After assessing the foundation, our foundation repair experts discovered the cracks formed due to a settlement issue and recommended our Foundation Pier System to lift, level, and to permanently stabilize the structure while potentially closing the cracks that formed.
Piers can solve settlement problems by transferring a structure's weight to strong, competent supporting soils at greater depth. Piers can effectively stabilize a settling structure and can even provide jacking points to lift the structure upwards to its original, level position.
