When a Beaulaville, NC homeowner needed a crawl space repair professional to fix their damp and musty crawl space, they contacted our office. Crawl spaces are often poorly ventilated, so when they become damp and musty, they can create a breeding ground for mold and other allergens. By regulating the temperature and humidity in the space, a crawl space repair professional can help prevent these issues and create a healthier environment for the homeowner.
Crawl space repair expert Travis S. diagnosed the problem and recommended a permanent solution after completing a free assessment. It was recommended to encapsulate the crawl space with a moisture barrier, drainage matting, high-quality crawl space wall insulation, and a dehumidifier to prevent further damage. Encapsulating the crawl space with a moisture barrier prevents water from entering the space and damaging the structural integrity of the home. Drainage mats help direct water away from the foundation walls. High-quality insulation helps keep the temperature and humidity levels stable, and a dehumidifier will ensure low humidity levels. Together, these measures create a dry, healthy space and prevent future damage.
