Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair received a call from a Clarkton, NC homeowner after seeing our Facebook advertisement for foundation repair. A free in-person assessment was scheduled with repair expert Jeremie G.
Jeremie diagnosed the homeowner's problem after a thorough inspection. Due to soil settlement, the home's structure was compromised. A custom solution was created after discussing his findings with the homeowner. Using Helical Piers, Austin H., the foundation repair foreman and his crew permanently stabilized the homeowners foundation.
Foundation piers can solve settlement problems by transferring a structure's weight to strong, competent supporting soils at greater depth. Piers can effectively stabilize a settling structure and can even provide jacking points to lift the structure upwards to its original, level position.
Janet contacted Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair because she had noticed interior and exterior cracks. She wanted the best possible solution to fix the problems that were causing the cracks. Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair inspector Graham Moore met with Janet to go over the cracks and find the root of her issues. Graham found that Janet's problems were coming from the crawl space of the home. Janet had high moisture levels that over the years had caused the wood to rot and give, dropping the floors of the home causing the cracks. We were able to help Janet fix the cracks by installing the SmartJack System, which we used with the combination of supplemental beams to the weakening of the joist due to the high moisture levels. We also installed the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System to preserve the rest of the floor joist of the home. The CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System protects the crawl space by sealing off the crawl space of the home from the earths ground. By sealing off the crawl space we are able to dramatically reduce the humidity and moisture level that causes mold and wood rot. Janet is thrilled with how Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair corrected the problems that she was experiencing with her home.
