Protecting a Crawl Space from Moisture in Shallotte, NC
Challenge
Thomas contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair after being informed that the fiberglass insulation in the crawl space was starting to hang and fall. The fiberglass insulation was damp from moisture that had seeped up from the earth's ground.
Solution
The best solution to fixing the damp moisture in the crawl space would be to encapsulate the crawl space with the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System. The CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System is designed to keep moisture from entering the crawl space from the earth's ground by sealing off the area with the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation Liner along the earth's ground along with sealing the piers and going a foot up the foundation walls. Our crew also removed the old wet fiberglass insulation panels and replaced the insulation barrier with the SilverGlo Insulation Panels on the foundation walls of the crawl space.
