Foundation piers can solve settlement problems by transferring a structure's weight to strong, competent supporting soils at greater depth.
Cracked concrete happens when part of a slab breaks and sinks into undersoil that's compressed or washed away. Through these cracks, moisture can seep beneath the slab and cause further damage and potential safety hazards. Concrete repair foreman, Jess Williams, used NexusPro Sealant to seal these cracks and prevent moisture from seeping beneath.
To permanently restore and stabilize this customers settling slab foundation, we installed our Slab Pier System.
David contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair after noticing that he still had moisture issues within the crawl space even after installing a vapor barrier and dehumidifier. Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inspector Andy Pittman met with David to go over the crawl space of his vacation home to find the best solution to fix David's problems.
Andy found that even though the crawl space had recently had a vapor barrier installed along with a dehumidifier the crawl space was still experiencing moisture issues. This is because the crawl space was not completely sealed allowing moisture to enter the area from around the foundation wall and around the block piers. The only solution would be to encapsulate the crawl space which would seal the crawl space from the earth's ground and not allow moisture from entering into the crawl space.
Our crew lead by Jason installed the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System. The CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System completely seals off the entire crawl space with the CleanSpace liner. By installing the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System we are able to reduce the moisture within the crawl space which reduces the risk of mold. It also makes for a cleaner air quality in the crawl space making the home a safer and healthier.
