Moisture and mold was an issue for this homeowners crawl space. After our team thoroughly assessed the space, and decided the most effective solution to repair it was a full crawl space encapsulation. Part of process involved replacing a water damaged crawl space door. The crew carefully measured the entryway, cut and installed our EverLast Door for its replacement. The EverLast is heavy-duty, waterproof, and is completely sealed tight against outside elements from entering.
While many homeowners do not access their crawl space regularly or use it for storage, what happens in this space can have a large impact on the rest of the home.
If you have a vented crawl space, you can count on 40% of the air in your home coming from your crawl space. Anything in that air -- including mold spores, odors, and humidity -- is all brought up into your home.
Cleaning your crawl space will eliminate a highly significant source of allergens in your home, while also creating a healthier environment.
Penny contacted Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair because of water entering the basement of the home, she wanted the rotted wood replaced and the basement waterproofed so that they would not have any more water in the basement of the home. Southeast Foundation's inspector Ben Daniels met with Penny and found that the basement was flooding where the wall and floor met. Our crew installed the DryTrak Waterproofing System around the perimeter of the basement along with replacing the old sump pump system with the SuperSump Sump Pump System. Robert contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair right after the closing of his new home in Kinston, NC. During the home inspection, it was noted that the attic of the home could use more insulation in the attic.
Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inspector Andy Pittman met with Robert to go over the attic to find the best solution for insulating the attic. The right type of attic insulation makes a huge difference in the home's efficiency and comfort. With several different solutions that Southeast Foundation and Crawl Space Repair offers, it was decided that the best solution would be to go with the Cellulose Insulation.
Cellulose insulation is the perfect material for attic insulation and can make the home more comfortable and efficient year around. It is also environmentally friendly, and usually has a quick installation process only taking a day or two to install depending on the size of the home.
