The floor joists in this crawl space were failing because of high moisture levels and an unprotected crawl space. Additionally, cinderblocks were used as floor joist supports and shifted. To solve this problem, we encapsulated the space with a CleanSpace vapor barrier and used a SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier to remove moisture. As a permanent stabilization measure, we installed a steel supplemental beam along the weakened floor joists. SmartJack Support Posts were bolted to the steel beam and secured to the crawl space floor for adequate support.
Our Foundation Helical Pier System was installed to lift and stabilize this customers sinking foundation.
Debera contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawlspace Repair concerned about the cracks and sinkage in her concrete driveway.
SEFR scheduled our designed specialist, Andy, to go out and inspect the home’s driveway. After the inspection, Andy met with Debera to propose a Poly Level installed as well as Nexus Pro.
Our crew, led by Juan, installed Poly Level to raise the concrete back evenly to the rest of the slab. Juan also applied Nexus Pro to seal all of the cracks.
Debera was very satisfied with the work SEFR did to Protect his American Dream.
As a result of damage to the crawl space supports, the floor above began to sag. The floor above was stabilized and leveled by installing a steel supplemental beam and SmartJack support posts. The steel beam was placed in the crawl space and was bolted to the existing floor joists to help support them. The SmartJack support posts were then attached to the steel beam and adjusted to stabilize and level the floor above.
