Karen contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair with problems of dropped floors at her home in Wilmington, NC. Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inspector Jeremie met with Karen to go over the problems of her home.
Jeremie found that the issues in the crawl space stemmed from high moisture levels in the crawl space. Over the years of having high moisture and humidity had weakened the wood beams in the crawl space causing the wooden floor joist to give. Jeremie suggested stabilizing the wood beams with the Smart Jack Stabilization System and encapsulating the crawl space with the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System. By encapsulating the crawl space with the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System, we are able to help control the moisture levels and lower the humidity in the crawl space.
Our crew led by Pedro first started the project by removing any debris in the crawl space, next they installed the Smart Jack Stabilization System in the crawl space to stabilize the wood beams. They followed this up with wrapping the piers in the crawl space with the CleanSpace Liner and installing the SilverGlo Insulation Panels on the foundation walls. They then installed the liner on the ground and added a Smart Sump Sump Pump System and Sedona Dehumidifier to the crawl space to control the moisture and humidity in the crawl space.
Karen and her husband are thrilled with the work completed by Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair.
Leroy contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair after having his home inspected during the selling process. After Hurricane Florence, the home was renovated, during the home inspection, the inspector found that the crawl space had excessive moisture and fungal problems along with temporary fixes done by the previous contractor. Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inspector Jeremie met with Leroy to go over the crawl space. Jeremie found that the crawl space of the home was in disarray. The plastic vapor barrier that had been installed after the storm was not covering the ground properly and the insulation in between the floor joists was saturated with moisture. The best solution would be to remove all of the moisture ridden insulation between the floor joist and replace it with the SilverGlo Insulation Panels on the foundation walls. Next would be to remove the old vapor barrier and install the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System. By encapsulating the crawl space, SEFR is able to help control the moisture and humidity in the crawl space that causes problems with excessive moisture and fungal problems.
Leroy and the new homeowners are thrilled with the work that Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair did to help protect this home for years to come.
When it rained, water drained into this customer's home from underneath the door. Our TrenchDrain System will prevent that from happening next time it rains by collecting water at the entryway and draining it to a sump pump. This sump pump will then pump the water away from the home, preventing flooding and potential water damage.
This customers home was flooding every time it rained. After installing a TrenchDrain System to capture water that drains down the customers driveway, we installed a SmartSump Pump System with a UltraSump Battery Backup Pack to ensure their home stays completely dry the next time it rains. The SmartSump is capable of pumping 2,500 gallons per hour and in the event of a power outage, the UltraSump Battery Backup System will continuously work to prevent flooding and water damage.
