Getting Rid of Moisture in Wade, NC

Challenge

Lula contacted Southeast Foundation and crawlspace repair after having suspicions of moisture issues in the crawlspace of her Wade, NC home. She has started to experience squeaking floors but had not noticed any sort of sagging and would like the floor squeaking to be addressed. Southeast Foundation and crawlspace repair inspector Austin met with Lula to go over the crawlspace to find the best solution for her issues. Austin found that the crawlspace did not have a vapor barrier which allowed moisture from the earth's ground and from the open vents to enter the crawlspace which has started to deteriorate the wood.

Solution

Our crew installed the clean space encapsulation system consisting of the SilverGlo Insulation Panels on the foundation walls, the 10 mil patented anti-microbial liner that covered the ground of the earth the along with going up the foundation walls and around the pier system of the home. They then installed the Sedona dehumidifier along with a Smart Sump System to extract the moisture within the crawlspace to keep it nice and dry.
