Photo Album: Replacing an Old Vapor Barrier with CleanSpace Encapsulation in New Bern, NC

Cathy contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair concerned about having a very damp crawl space. She had a vapor barrier installed a few years ago and since then she was still having problems with high moisture content. Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inspector Andy P met with Cathy to go over the crawl space of her home. Andy found that even though she had a vapor barrier installed the vapor barrier did not seal the crawl space allowing moisture to enter the home. Our crew actually sealed the crawl space using the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System. Unlike a traditional vapor barrier system the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System runs the liner a foot up the walls and secures it to the foundation walls, the system also includes wrapping the piers and securing it to the rest of the system to completely seal the crawl space from the earth's ground.
