Basement Waterproofing Photo Album: Waterproofing Basement With Mold & Mildew in Fayetteville, NC
When a homeowner in Fayetteville, NC, reached out to us about a serious water, mold, and mildew issue in their 70-year-old basement, we knew immediately what needed to be done. The musty odors had become unbearable, making an area of their home practically unusable. We were all too familiar with these signs of underlying issues that, if left unaddressed, could lead to extensive damage. Our Customer Care team promptly scheduled a home inspection appointment, marking the beginning of their journey to a dry and healthy basement. A System Design Specialist from our Sales Team visited their home, inspected the basement thoroughly, and pinpointed the critical areas that required attention. The solution was clear: The basement needed a combination of our state-of-the-art waterproofing products – WaterGuard, TripleSafe Sump Pump, IceGuard, CleanSpace, and the SaniDry Sedona system. Under the expertise of our foreman leading the production team of skilled installers, we got to work. The WaterGuard system was installed to efficiently channel water away from the basement, preventing any future entry. We placed the TripleSafe Sump Pump System, ensuring triple protection against varying levels of flooding, especially during stormy weather. With potential freeze blockages in mind, the IceGuard system was fitted to allow water to escape from a sump discharge line if the pipe freezes or is blocked for any reason. What truly transformed the space was the CleanSpace liner, making the walls completely waterproof and giving the basement a clean, finished look. To tackle the air quality, the SaniDry Sedona was introduced, effectively controlling humidity and filtering the air.
Towels Used to Soak Water Leaks
Water was leaking into this basement at the wall/floor joint. The customer was using towels, fans, and dehumidifiers to try to keep the water from reaching the rest of the basement.
Mold Growth
Mold will grow on damp concrete surfaces. In other words, anywhere there is high humidity, condensation, or water infiltration (i.e., water seeping through your foundation walls via cracks you didn't even know were there).
Mold, Mildew, Efflorescence on Basement Walls
Water seeped through the cracks in the foundation wall, causing mold, mildew, and efflorescence to appear!

Sump Pump & Dehumidifier
Water collected into the drainage system will drain to the sump pump system to be removed from the home via TripleSafe Sump Pump. The SaniDry Sedona will control the humidity and filter the air to eliminate moisture and mold spores.
CleanSpace Wall System & WaterGuard Drainage Channel
CleanSpace is fastened to the basement walls to prevent moisture from seeping through. The water will drain down the back side of the liner and directly into the drainage system to be directed to the sump pump for removal.
IceGuard System
The IceGuard System allows water to escape from the discharge line in the event the line ever becomes blocked. This eliminates the problem of the water backing up in the line and draining back into the basement.
CleanSpace Liner
In addition to waterproofing the walls, the CleanSpace System contains an antimicrobial additive to prevent mold growth.
