Concrete Repair Photo Album: The Proven Solution For A Concrete Driveway & Sidewalk Repair in, Hampstead, NC
We were contacted by a Hampstead, NC homeowner who was referred to us by a friend for concrete repair work. An expert concrete repair assessment was scheduled with Matt D to ensure a thorough analysis of the damaged concrete driveway and walkway. Matt discovered cracks throughout the concrete surfaces as well as unevenness and potential tripping hazards. When soil beneath a concrete slab shrinks, settles, or washes away, it leaves voids. As the soil no longer supports the slab, the concrete will sink, creating an uneven and cracked surface. Matt discussed his findings and recommendations with the homeowner once he had completed the assessment. Our driveway and sidewalk leveling process eliminates unsafe conditions, enhances curb appeal, and prolongs the life of your driveway or sidewalk. A silicone-based sealant would then be applied to the cracks to provide long-term flexibility and protection. After determining that Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair would be able to provide the permanent solution the homeowner needed, a crew was scheduled to repair the driveway and sidewalk. Jecelynn W., an expert in concrete repair, examined the concrete surfaces for voids and prepared the materials needed for repair. The uneven surfaces were leveled and stabilized using PolyLevel. The PolyLevel system is a fast, effective way to repair a sunken concrete driveway. Jecelynn first drills small holes in the slab. High-density polyurethane foam was then injected through the holes. When the polymer spread beneath the slab, it lifted it. The small holes or injection sites were then patched. For crack repair, Jecelynn used NexusPro Sealant. The cracks were first drilled, smoothed, and filled with non-absorbent backer rod filler. Following that, NexusPro sealant was inserted into the prepared crack. The cracks were then detailed with a thin layer of native sand, giving the concrete a uniform, finished appearance. Nexus Pro and PolyLevel both cure and install quickly. On the same day, the homeowner was able to safely use their driveway and walkway! As a result of being completely satisfied with our work, the customer left us a 5-star Google review!
Uneven Sidewalk
Sunken concrete is often caused by erosion. Erosion causes soil to wash away from under a concrete slab, creating a void. PolyLevel Injection spreads polymer underneath the slab to fill the void and stabilize and level the sidewalk.
Filling Voids
Polyurethane foam is injected beneath the concrete to fill voids and raise the slab.
After PolyLevel Injection
PolyLevel lifted and stabilized the sidewalk after injection.
