Wet and Dirty Crawl Space Transformed into Dry and Conditioned in Morehead City, NC
Challenge
Helena contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair because she had noticed problems with the crawl space of her home. She had many concerns typical of a crawl space with moisture problem, falling insulation, mold and mildew and musty smells that were penetrating the first floor of the home.
Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair System Design Specialist Jeremie Gunn completed a full assessment of the interior of the crawl space area to plan a design that would meet the homeowner's goals to completely remove the moisture intrusion and mildew from the crawl space.
Solution
Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair install team started the project by removing all the debris and falling insulation from the crawl space and sprayed the Mold X2 Mold and Mildew Remediation Spray. They then outfitted the foundation walls with the SilverGlo Insulation Panels to help keep the crawl space at a consistent temperature like the rest of the home. Next, they began sealing off the home from the sandy ground with the 20 mil CleanSpace Liner. The final phase was installing the Sedona Dehumidifier paired with the Smart Sump Sump Pump System to keep humidity level low to prevent mold growth. All products installed by Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair are antimicrobial and will not rot or become moldy.
Helena is excited to have a clean and bright area below her home with no more worries about mold, mildew or moisture.
