Challenge

2600 Square foot farm house built in 1940. Foundation walls consisted of brick and concrete columns. Floor system was supported by brick columns. Home was inherited by customer and had been vacant for many years. Floors had separate from walls and had major settlement issues throughout the home. Homeowner requested inspection to recommend long lasting solutions.

Solution

Upon inspection; the inspector suspected from the appearance of the residence that the extent of work would not be affordable to the homeowner. There was extensive settlement of the subfloor over the entire house, major wood rot and the floor joists needed to be replaced. The inspector provided an estimate for a floor joists replacement and the exclusive CleanSpace encapsulation system. The homeowner advised the inspector that his trust fund was paying for the job and wanted to know how soon Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair would begin installation.
Extensive floor joists were replaced and CleanSpace liner, SilverGlo, Smart Jacks and the SaniDry CX were installed. The project was installed in 2 weeks. The homeowner was very pleased with the results and knowing the CleanSpace system will prevent any further mold or wood decay. The floor system was raised to achieve a level position.
