Getting Rid of Falling Insulation and Moisture Issues in Kinston, NC

Challenge

Mrs. Kathy contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair due to falling insulation and a moisture issue in the crawl space of her home.

Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inspector Andy met with Mrs. Kathy to go over the crawl space and to find the best solution for her issues.

Andy found that the crawl space was experiencing classic symptoms of moisture damage caused by high humidity and water vapor coming into the home from the earth's ground. Andy recommended that Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair install the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System.

Solution

Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair crew lead by EJ first went in a done the mold remediation and then installed the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System. They began the project by removing the old insulation and removing all debris from the area. Next, they installed the SilverGlo Insulation Panels and insulate the crawl space and then wrapped the piers and installed the CleanSpace 10 mil Liner along with installing the Sedona Dehumidifier to keep the crawl space nice and dry.

BEFORE: The crawl space had plastic down,but it was still allowing moisture since the crawl space wasn't completely sealed from grounds moisture.

BEFORE: Also there was wood rot due to the moisture issues of the crawl space.

BEFORE: Mold on the wood in the crawl space

AFTER: The CleanSpace Crawl Space transformed the crawl space from UGH to WOW and added additional storage to free up space in the garage or storage building.
