Crawl Space Repair Photo Album: Fixing a Damp Crawl Space in Rocky Point, NC

This home in Rocky Point, NC had a very damp crawl space, Mark the owner of the property was concerned about the lasting effects of having a moisture ridden crawl space could do to his home. Mike found the the moisture level was well above the typical range found in the area and explained to Mark that by having high moisture levels the water vapor causes problems like wood rot and damage, mold, mildew, insects and wildlife that could live in the crawl space. He also explained that more then half the air breathed on the first floor of the home comes from the crawl space and by having a CleanSpace Encapsulation System we could lower the moisture level and make the crawl space of the home a more healthy part of the home. Our crew installed the CleanSpace Encapsulation System using the 10 mil CleanSpace Liner to seal off the crawl space from the outside elements like water, added SilverGlo Insulation Panels that insulates the crawl space better then normal fiberglass insulation between the floor joist, a SaniDry Sedona to get out any moisture that is hiding in the crawl space of the home, along with a SmartSump to pump the water out of the crawl space of the home.
