The Permanent Solution To Sagging Floors in Mt. Olive, NC

Challenge

Following a recommendation from a previous customer, a Mt. Olive, NC homeowner requested a free crawl space repair inspection. Before renovating their bathroom, they wanted to fix the sagging floor without removing it completely. As a result, we sent Justin S., a crawl space repair specialist, to diagnose the problem and provide the customer with a permanent solution. Justin discovered that the sagging floor was caused by a structural issue after a thorough inspection. The floor joists were weakened and cracked, leading to sagging floors. 

Solution

To address the underlying structural problem, he recommended the SmartJack Crawl Space Stabilizer crawl space support system. The SmartJack system would permanently stabilize and protect the customer's sagging floor, allowing them to continue their bathroom renovation. The SmartJack System stabilizes crawl space beams and floor joists. It is the ideal solution to eliminate floor failure by stabilizing and lifting sagging floors to their original position. Foreman Rayford F. and his team repaired the weakened and cracked joists by sistering them and installing a steel supplemental beam for additional beam support. On solid and level ground, they set up a steel SmartJack base. The SmartJack posts were then cut to size based on the crawl space's height and secured to the steel beam with adjustable steel brackets. To lift the floor above, they tightened and adjusted the SmartJack post once it was connected to the beam. Once the lift was achieved, the team secured the posts and cleaned up the job site before finishing the repair.
