Fixing a Wet Crawl Space in Wilmington, NC

Andrew contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair concerned with moisture at his Wilmington, NC home. Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inspector Brannon met with Andrew to go over the crawl space to find the best solution for his issues. Brannon found that at some point the water level in the crawl space was about 6 inches deep that had caused the crawl space to flood. With the crawl space flooded it had caused issues of moisture getting into the insulation and the wood causing mold and mildew. Our crew installed the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System. By installing the CleanSpace Encapsulation System along with a Sump Pump System and a dehumidifier we are able to lower the humidity in the crawl space to under 55% which mold and mildew cannot thrive. Andrew is thrilled with the work that Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair did to protect his home for years to come.

Getting Rid of a Moisture Issue in Wilmington, NC

Dennis contacted Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair after not being impressed with several other companies that he had to look at his home in Wilmington, NC. After being forced to install flood vents to his home he had developed a moisture issue in the crawl space which he knew from prior knowledge from working in the construction industry could be destructive to his home. Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair inspector Brannon Walters met with Dennis to go over the crawl space.

Brannon found that Dennis' problems were stemming from the natural moisture from the earth's ground along with the fact that the vent was now forced closed so the moisture had to know where to go except into the wood and insulation in the crawl space. The best solution to fix the issue would be to seal the crawl space from the moisture with the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System along with installing the Sedona Dehumidifier to get rid of the moisture that had been absorbed by the wood and insulation.

Southeast Foundation & Crawl Space Repair crew lead by Jose H installed the CleanSpace Crawl Space Encapsulation System first by removing the old insulation and replaced it with the SilverGlo Insulation panels. Next they sealed the crawl space from the problematic earth's ground with the CleanSpace Liner. Once the Liner was installed along the foundation walls, ground, and piers, they installed the Smart Sump sump pump system along with the Sedona Dehumidifier to ensure a nice dry crawl space free of moisture.
